Food and Dining
For affordable heartland dining, NTUC Kopitiam food courts and coffee shops offer discounts to senior cardholders. Use the FairPrice Group (FPG) App to pay for meals at participating Kopitiam stalls to automatically receive a 10% discount on regular-priced food and beverages.
Other cafes and restaurants also provide discounts for senior customers on weekdays.
These are some options you may consider:
- Polar Puffs & Cakes: Offers a Golden Hour Special for Merdeka and Pioneer Generation seniors, featuring 20% off freshly baked puff pastries on weekdays from 3 PM to 5 PM at all outlets
- Swensen’s Promotion for Senior Citizens: This promotion offers diners aged 60+ a 1-for-1 Mix & Match deal on selected mains and sundaes on weekdays from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, allowing a senior and their caregiver to dine together at a 50% discount during quiet, low-stress hours. A tip to make dining out easier for caregivers
● Pre-load the FairPrice Group app to pre-order meals from your table
Food courts and hawker centres can get very busy during mealtimes. It can be difficult to walk with an elderly parent using a walking frame or wheelchair through a crowded, cramped space.
If you’re dining at a Kopitiam outlet, use the NTUC FairPrice Group app to order food from your table and be notified when it’s ready for collection. That way, you can let your loved one sit at the table while you go over and collect the food.
How it works:
Open the FairPrice Group App on your phone, ensure you’ve linked their Linkpoints/Silver card profile, and select ‘Takeaway’ or ‘Having here’.
You can browse menus, order from multiple stalls, pay digitally, and receive the 10% discount, all without leaving your parent alone or waiting in a queue.
Refer to this page for the step-by-step instructions and the full list of outlets.
